In brief:<\/strong> ACTV vaporetto line 22 is a seasonal fast connection<\/strong> between Punta Sabbioni<\/strong> (Cavallino-Treporti) and the northern Cannaregio edge<\/strong> of the main city. It runs directly to the hospital (Ospedale Civile<\/em>), then on to the Fondamente Nove “C”<\/strong> pier and finally to S. Giobbe<\/strong> at the station end of Cannaregio. Not to be confused with the Burano lines<\/strong> \u2014 line 22 does not go to Burano. From Punta Sabbioni to Burano, take line 14<\/a> (via the Lido) or line 12<\/a> from Fondamente Nove. Line 22 is primarily the commuter and hospital line<\/strong> for travellers staying in Cavallino-Treporti who want the north of the city (the Ghetto, Strada Nuova, Fondamente Nove as a springboard to Murano\/Burano).<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

What line 22 actually does<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The standard lines for travellers from Punta Sabbioni<\/strong> into the city are line 14<\/a> (via the Lido to San Zaccaria\/St Mark’s) and line 15<\/a> (the fast San Marco link). Both head for the south side of the city \u2014 good for San Marco, Castello and Dorsoduro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Line 22 runs as a summer seasonal line<\/strong>, typically between May and September. In the winter months it is suspended \u2014 there is then no direct fast connection Punta Sabbioni \u2192 hospital\/northern Cannaregio, and travellers fall back on the standard lines (14\/15 to the south, then change).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
