In most cases the vaporetti keep to them. Deviations can occur during acqua alta (high water), strong wind, strikes or special operations (e.g. Carnival, Regata Storica). In the peak months of July\/August individual lines can be crowded, which can cause small delays.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details><summary>Are weekend timetables taken into account?<\/summary><div><p>Yes. The search automatically checks today&#8217;s day of the week and filters by the matching service dates (gtfs_calendar + gtfs_calendar_dates). Some night lines run only at weekends, others only on weekdays \u2014 the search shows only trips that actually run today.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details><summary>What about seasonal lines?<\/summary><div><p>Vaporetto lines <strong>7<\/strong> (Murano express) and <strong>22<\/strong> are seasonal \u2014 they run only in the summer months. The search handles that automatically via the GTFS service dates. If a line does not run today, it does not appear in the results.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details><summary>How do the changes work?<\/summary><div><p>For one-change connections the system uses a minimum wait of <strong>3 minutes<\/strong> at the transfer pier and a maximum wait of <strong>60 minutes<\/strong>. Both line pills are shown, plus the transfer stop. Waiting time and total journey time appear on the card.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details><summary>Why do some connections appear more than once?<\/summary><div><p>Each connection is in fact listed only once per line and departure. But when two lines leave almost simultaneously (e.g. line 1 and line 2 from the Ferrovia pier), we show both \u2014 which one reaches your destination faster depends on stops and route.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details><summary>Why do some stops appear several times under similar names?<\/summary><div><p>Large piers have several berths (San Marco-San Zaccaria, for instance, has berths A to F). Our search automatically aggregates them into one logical stop. If you type &#8220;San Zaccaria&#8221;, the system searches all berths at once.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details><summary>What about acqua alta?<\/summary><div><p>At water levels above 110 cm the MOSE storm-surge barrier can be closed \u2014 individual lagoon lines then pause. Before acqua alta days, check the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.treffpunkt-venedig.de\/en\/acqua-alta-venice\/\">live levels<\/a>. During active closures the timetables in the search remain &#8220;as planned&#8221; \u2014 there is no automatic rerouting.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details><summary>Can I also search for bus connections?<\/summary><div><p>Currently only the <strong>ACTV Navigazione<\/strong> vaporetti are integrated, plus the bus-ferry hybrid line 11 to Chioggia. ATVO buses (connections from Jesolo, Caorle, Bibione, Lignano) are documented separately on the respective day-trip pages.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details><summary>How current is the data?<\/summary><div><p>The GTFS data is pulled nightly from the ACTV open-data source. The search therefore always shows the current state of the timetables published by ACTV. For short-notice changes (e.g. strikes), the <a href=\"https:\/\/actv.avmspa.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener\">ACTV live updates<\/a> are the final authority.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n<details><summary>Does the search store my input?<\/summary><div><p>The stop list is cached in the browser&#8217;s session storage so the autocomplete runs faster. Search requests are cached anonymously on the server for 5 minutes. No personal data \u2014 no tracking.
