The top event of the season is the <strong>24th Palio Remiero<\/strong> on 27 June \u2014 a rowing-boat regatta with a street-food festival and music. Add the <strong>XXXIII\u00b0 Motoraduno Lagunare<\/strong> (33rd motorcycle rally, 30\u201331 May), the <strong>Sunset Run<\/strong> on 27 June, the <strong>Estate letteraria<\/strong> literary series with Maril\u00f9 Oliva (9 June) and Paolo Roversi (17 July), and the traditional sagre \u2014 the <strong>Sagra di Ca&#8217;Vio<\/strong>, the <strong>Sagra Madonna del Carmine<\/strong> in Saccagnana and the <strong>Sagra di Santa Filomena<\/strong> in Treporti. For concerts, see the separate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.treffpunkt-venedig.de\/en\/cavallino-treporti\/concerts\/\"><strong>concerts page<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Top event 2026 \u2014 the 24th Palio Remiero<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On <strong>Saturday, 27 June 2026 from 4 pm<\/strong>, Piazza S.M. Elisabetta in Cavallino hosts the <strong>24th edition of the Palio Remiero<\/strong> \u2014 the peninsula&#8217;s most important folk festival, designated an &#8220;Evento Top&#8221; by the Comune. The programme: a rowing competition in traditional boats between the teams of the four districts, plus a street-food festival with local specialities (fish, vongole, sarde in saor), live music and a closing fireworks display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regatta commemorates the old tradition of the vegetable farmers of Sant&#8217;Erasmo, Vignole and Cavallino, who once rowed to Venice&#8217;s Rialto market every morning. In its modern competitive form the Palio has been held since the early 2000s and celebrates the independent identity of the peninsula, which separated from Venice in 1999.
