The 73rd edition was dedicated to the <strong>50th anniversary of the 1976 Friuli earthquake<\/strong> \u2014 a reminder of the Bersaglieri&#8217;s relief work for the affected population. It opened on Wednesday 27 May with a concert; the high point was <strong>Sunday 31 May<\/strong> with the famous running parade &#8220;di corsa&#8221; along the Lungomare and a <strong>Frecce Tricolori fly-past<\/strong> in the morning. According to the organiser Futura Eventi, Lignano was the only date of the world tour &#8220;The Grand Return&#8221; in north-eastern Italy. It was also the first touring summer under the new artistic direction of Stefano Marchioro.
