von mike Unkategorisiert

In a nutshell: On Sunday, 7 June 2026 the Grado Airshow returns: from 4pm to 6pm the coast of the “sun island” turns into a huge open-air auditorium — with the Frecce Tricolori, the aerobatic team of the Italian Air Force, as the finale. Admission is free and the show can be seen from the entire beach and the Lungomare Nazario Sauro. The dress rehearsal takes place on Saturday, 6 June; on both days temporary closures apply at the sea and on individual roads.

The programme: Frecce Tricolori, CAP 231 and more

The show is organised by the municipality of Grado together with GIT spa, the Aero Club d’Italia and the Aeronautica Militare. Announced, besides the national team, are: the Flying Donkeys (an ultralight duo), an ELI-E.I. formation, the Pitts Special biplane, freestyle aerobatics with the CAP 231 and a PC-9 of the Slovenian Air Force. The finale is provided by the Frecce Tricolori with their green-white-red smoke trails over the Adriatic.

Restricted zones on 6 and 7 June

In front of the main beach and the promenade, a ban on swimming, boat traffic, anchoring, diving and fishing applies during the rehearsal (Saturday approx. 2:30–4:30pm) and the show (Sunday 3–6pm). On land, no-stopping zones with towing are set up from Saturday 8am in Via Marconi and Via Fermi, and on Sunday additionally at the Parco delle Rose; during the flying times the affected roads are completely closed. Residents can reach their properties according to the situation of the event.

Tips for visitors

  • Come early — the best spots on the main beach and on the Lungomare Nazario Sauro fill up quickly.
  • Arrive by bike or on foot if possible and follow the temporary signage.
  • Do not stay in the restricted zones; follow the instructions of the event staff.
  • The show is visible along the entire coastline — admission is free.
