Jesolo Beach Access Summer 2026 — Weekend Rule from 23 May

von mike Unkategorisiert

In a nutshell: From Saturday, 23 May 2026, the weekend rule for beach accesses already familiar from previous years applies again in Jesolo — it runs until 29 August 2026. Six accesses between the 28° accesso and Via Oriani are affected. Every weekend from Saturday 10pm to Sunday 4am, plus additionally from 14 to 17 August (the Ferragosto weekend), these six accesses may be used in one direction only: out from the beach. Two private accesses are completely closed during this time. For ordinary holiday guests — families, couples, beach-day travellers — practically nothing changes: during the day everything stays as usual, and visits to hotels, restaurants and beach bars are possible without restriction.

Why the city is doing this

The rule was first introduced in 2024 and extended in 2025 because of its success. The background is night-time noise on the beach section between the 28° accesso and Via Oriani — above all on summer weekends with a high volume of visitors. Complaints from residents and from structures such as hotels and apartments led to the administrative order, now extended into its third season. Mayor Christofer De Zotti speaks of “positive results” in previous years: less night-time noise, fewer congestion situations, more peace for overnight guests.

The measure is therefore not an attempt to keep tourists away, but a management measure against very local weekend phenomena. Travellers with a hotel or holiday-apartment booking are not affected in any case.

What this means for your holiday

✓ No restriction if … you stay in a hotel or holiday apartment in Jesolo; you go to the beach during the day (any time between 4am and 10pm); you are in a restaurant or bar in the evening — access to the venues stays free; you take a walk along the beach promenade.

⚠ Note if … you want to go to the beach at the weekend after 10pm — the 6 accesses between the 28° accesso and Via Oriani are no longer usable for that (other beach accesses stay open); you want to take sunset walks on the beach in the evening — no problem before 10pm; you spend Ferragosto (15 August) in Jesolo — restricted on weekdays too.

A practical note from our travel-agency experience

We advise families travelling to Jesolo not to worry about this rule. The affected beach accesses are in the eastern part of town — most holiday guests spend their evenings anyway in the restaurants and bars on the central axis between Piazza Mazzini and the Faro di Cavallino. If you plan an evening beach walk, you go between 6:00 and 9:30pm — the typical aperitivo time in Italy — and are not affected by the rule that takes effect from 10pm anyway.

In concrete terms: if you holiday in Jesolo and have booked a hotel or holiday apartment, you will probably not even notice the weekend rule. It only applies if someone actively wants to go to the beach at night between 10pm and 4am through one of the six marked beach accesses — and even then only in one direction, out.

What else is new for the 2026 season

  • The Bandiera Blu 2026 has been confirmed again for Jesolo — the EU water-quality award presented since 1987 by the Foundation for Environmental Education.
  • The Aqua Festival in its 4th edition — international guests such as Niccolò Fabi, Chiara Francini, Mauro Corona.
  • Investment in a local-police presence in problematic areas (Via Nievo is additionally being reviewed).
