New in 2026 on the Adriatic coast: ULSS 4 strengthens its summer medical network
In a nutshell: The ULSS 4 Veneto Orientale has significantly expanded its summer programme “Vacanze in Salute” 2026 — around 5.2 million euros, about 200 specialists and five first-aid points along the coast. New this year: at the first-aid points in Bibione, Caorle and Cavallino-Treporti, nurse triage is staffed around the clock for the first time — including at night. Jesolo hospital is upgraded for the season with an orthopaedist, paediatrician and reinforced radiology.
If you are holidaying on the upper Adriatic in 2026 — Jesolo, Bibione, Caorle, Cavallino-Treporti, Eraclea Mare — you will find a noticeably strengthened medical network. The ULSS 4 presented its annual summer programme “Vacanze in Salute” in Caorle. Three changes are especially relevant for visitors.
24-hour triage at three first-aid points for the first time
The key change for 2026: at the first-aid points (Punti di Primo Intervento) in Bibione, Caorle and Cavallino-Treporti, nurse-led triage is staffed around the clock for the first time — including at night — by ULSS 4 nurses. This speeds up the assessment of complaints and relieves the A&E departments.
Jesolo hospital upgraded for the summer
At the Ospedale di Jesolo an orthopaedist is on site throughout the summer — important for falls, sports and beach injuries. The paediatrician for the many families remains, and radiology has been reinforced to speed up diagnostics and reduce transfers to other hospitals.
More staff, interpreters and the number 116117
In total around 200 specialists (doctors, nurses, staff) plus interpreters are available, along with five first-aid points. For non-urgent medical help — including at night and on public holidays — the free, multilingual number 116117 applies across the whole ULSS 4; in a real emergency still 112 or 118.
