Grado Concerts 2026: Summer Series, Alpe Adria Puppet Festival, Sant’Eufemia
Grado has no stadium stage like Lignano and no big arena like Jesolo. What Grado offers instead: a summer concert series in atmospheric locations — the Diga promenade, Piazza Biagio Marin, the Parco delle Rose and the Basilica of Sant’Eufemia. On top of that comes the long-established Alpe Adria Puppet Festival, which made Grado internationally known.

The Alpe Adria Puppet Festival is Grado’s cultural flagship. Puppet-theatre companies from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Austria gather for a week and give evening performances on various squares around town. Most pieces use little spoken text — marionettes, shadow play, object theatre — making them accessible to families without Italian. The 2026 programme is published on grado.it over the summer.
Summer concert series on the Diga
Throughout July and August, a band or solo act plays almost every evening on the stage on the Diga or in the Parco delle Rose — Italian pop, jazz, cover bands and occasionally classical music in the basilica. Free entry, usually starting at 9 pm. The programme is coordinated centrally by the Consorzio Grado Turismo and published in June.
Classical concerts in Sant’Eufemia
The Basilica di Sant’Eufemia (6th century, mosaic floors from 579 AD) hosts several classical concerts in summer — organ, chamber music, choir. A special atmosphere thanks to the acoustics and the historic mosaics. Admission is sometimes free, sometimes a small contribution (€5–10). The 2026 dates are announced via the parish and the tourist office.
What Grado does not have: stadium concerts
If you are after big pop tour concerts, Grado is the wrong place. The town has no open-air stage for several thousand spectators and does not feature in the tour calendars of Italy’s top acts. For stadium pop we recommend Lignano (Stadio G. Teghil and Arena Alpe Adria) or the Palazzo del Turismo in Jesolo.
