Bibione Events 2026 — Sand Storm, Giro d’Italia, Olistic Festival, Circus Festival
In a nutshell: Bibione 2026 kicks off with its first major event as early as mid-May and delivers a packed programme of sport, festivals and beach events across the whole season. Highlights: stage 3 of the Giro d’Italia Women on 1 June (starting in Bibione, 156 km to Buja), the Rayana Bibione Olistic Festival on 20–21 June (yoga and wellness on the beach), the Bibione Contemporary Circus Festival from 24–26 June and, in autumn, Bibione Sand Storm — the FIM Sand Race World Cup (motocross and quad sand racing) from 23–25 October. Concerts are listed separately under Bibione Concerts. Plus the full summer programme in the Bibione Pineda town park (June–September) with concerts, open-air cinema and vintage markets.
May 2026 — season opening
- From 20 May 2026 — “Lichtzeichen” (Signs of Light) exhibition at the Punta Tagliamento lighthouse: the historic lighthouse becomes an exhibition hall — works at the meeting point of sea and nature. Open throughout the season
- 21 May 2026 — Bibione Sand Storm: opening press conference (Via Maja 84): presentation of the motocross/quad sand race (FIM Sand Race World Cup), which itself takes place in October
- 30 May 2026 — firework show (beach in front of Piazzale Zenith): opening of the summer season with fireworks
June 2026 — sport and festivals
- 1 June 2026 — Giro d’Italia Women, stage 3 (start in Bibione): the women’s cycling spectacle sets off from Bibione, with the roughly 156 km route crossing the Friulian plain to Buja. A major media event — watch the route on foot or by bike
- Beach Volley Junior: spring and summer editions in spring/early summer, Italian professional level
- June–September — Summer in Bibione Pineda (Parco Comunale Bibione Pineda): concerts, open-air cinema, vintage markets, conferences, shows. The programme changes daily — one of the broadest summer line-ups on the upper Adriatic
- 20–21 June 2026 — Rayana Bibione Olistic Festival (Arenile Piazzale Zenith): two days of yoga, wellness and meditation on the beach, timed around the summer solstice and International Yoga Day. Workshops for all levels
- 24–26 June 2026 — Bibione Contemporary Circus Festival (Arena Via Maja + Lido dei Pini): three free evenings of international contemporary circus (4th edition), with companies from Spain, France and Italy
July 2026 — peak concert season + fireworks
- 12 July 2026 — firework show (Piazzale Zenith): one of the biggest beach firework displays of the season and a well-known summer highlight

August to October 2026 — high season, season finale and Sand Storm
The Bibione Pineda events run all summer long. The exact August programme is published by the Comune in July — expect further firework shows over the Ferragosto weekend (14–17 August), the annual mountain-bike meeting and the end-of-season festivities in early September.
The sporting finale is Bibione Sand Storm on 23–25 October 2026: as a round of the FIM Sand Race World Cup, motocross bikes and quads turn the beach into a spectacular sand racetrack — a season-extender that draws thousands of motorsport fans to Bibione.
How Bibione events differ from Venice events
Comparing the two: Bibione events are primarily beach and family occasions — fireworks, sport (beach volleyball, Giro d’Italia, sand racing), open-air concerts, hands-on festivals (Olistic, Circus). They appeal to a broad holiday audience, are usually free and very family-friendly. Venice events, by contrast, are large-scale culture, art and tradition affairs — the Biennale, Festa del Redentore, Carnival, the Film Festival. Higher ticket prices, often educational in character, sometimes requiring registration.
