The drone show: what is known and what is not

For the turn of the year the city announces a choreography with 800 illuminated drones drawing figures and images in the sky over Jesolo. A drone show of this size is so far unusual for Jesolo. What is open is on which day it takes place: media reports and event portals give different times, and the official announcement does not commit. So do not plan around the drones alone but around the whole evening, and check the current programme shortly before your trip. We will add the date here as soon as the city names it.

Where exactly: Piazza Kennedy in Jesolo Paese

Piazza Kennedy is the large market square of Jesolo Paese, the historic centre inland, not on the beach. The Ice Nativity on Piazza I Maggio is in the same district. If you stay in Lido di Jesolo, where the Christmas village and the Sand Nativity are, you travel a few kilometres into the town centre for the party. Plan the journey there and back on New Year’s Eve in advance, ideally with a sober driver or a taxi; as far as we know the city has not yet published timetables or traffic rules for the night.

Combining New Year’s Eve with the Christmas programme

The Christmas attractions run beyond the turn of the year. The Ice Nativity on Piazza I Maggio is open daily from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm from 24 December to 6 January, so also on 31 December and 1 January, and lies in the same district as Piazza Kennedy. The Sand Nativity on Piazza Brescia is open daily from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm in the same period. The Christmas village runs until 6 January; its hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day have not been published yet. All dates and places: Jesolo Christmas Market 2026/27.

For comparison: New Year’s Eve 2025/26

Last year the party started on 31 December at 9:30 pm with a live act, then the DJs of the two radio stations took over, with fireworks at midnight. On 1 January it continued from 4 pm with a DJ set. The 2026/27 schedule follows a similar pattern but adds the drone show. Last year’s programme is no indication of the acts in 2026/27.
