Star Concerts on St Mark’s Square 2026 — Bocelli, Baglioni, Cocciante & Bennato (25 June to 6 July)

von mike Unkategorisiert

In a nutshell: Summer 2026 brings big live music back to St Mark’s Square. Between 25 June and 6 July, five names perform against the backdrop of St Mark’s Basilica: Riccardo Cocciante, Andrea Bocelli, Claudio Baglioni (on two evenings), the orchestra and choir of the Teatro La Fenice, and — for the first time — Edoardo Bennato. If you are travelling to Venice in early summer anyway, you can combine your stay with a concert on one of the most famous squares in Europe. Here is an overview of all the dates, prices and getting-there practicalities.

The programme at a glance

  • Thu, 25 June — Riccardo Cocciante: a concert of the great classics (approx. €79–150).
  • Sat, 27 June — Andrea Bocelli: “Romanza” — 30-year world tour, 8:00pm (premium, depending on category).
  • Mon + Tue, 29/30 June — Claudio Baglioni: “GrandTour — La vita è adesso”, 9:00pm (approx. €79–150).
  • Sun, 5 July — Orchestra & Choir of the Teatro La Fenice: a classical evening under the open sky (depending on category).
  • Mon, 6 July — Edoardo Bennato: his first ever concert on the Piazza San Marco.

Prices and remaining allocations change at short notice — the official advance sale is always the binding source.

The highlights in detail

Andrea Bocelli (27 June) is probably the biggest draw of the series: the tenor is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his breakthrough album with his “Romanza” world tour and is stopping for it on the Piazza San Marco. He is one of the best-known names in Italian music for international audiences — so the best categories usually sell out early.

Claudio Baglioni (29 and 30 June) brings his “GrandTour” to the square on two consecutive evenings — a classic of the Italian cantautore repertoire. Riccardo Cocciante (25 June) opens the series, and Edoardo Bennato (6 July) stands on the Piazza San Marco for the very first time. In between, on 5 July, the orchestra and choir of the Teatro La Fenice provide the classical counterpoint under the open sky.

Tickets and advance sale

Depending on the concert and category, tickets cost roughly between €65 and €215. The Bocelli concert is in the premium segment. For several dates, travel packages with a ticket plus two nights’ accommodation are also offered. Important: for an open-air concert on the Piazza San Marco, buying early pays off, because the good categories sell out quickly. Sales are through the official platforms such as TicketOne and Ticketmaster.

Getting there and staying over

You can reach the Piazza San Marco directly by waterbus: from the direction of the railway station and Piazzale Roma, lines 1 and 2 run along the Grand Canal to San Marco; from the direction of Punta Sabbioni and the Lido, line 14. Handy for concert evenings: in the summer 2026 timetable, lines 1 and 2 run more frequently in the evening, so the journey back after the concert is no problem.

Turn the concert evening into a weekend? If you stay overnight in Venice, you are exempt from the day-visitor access fee anyway. A selection of hotels by location and character can be found on our accommodation page — from the lagoon suite to a quiet sestiere away from St Mark’s Square.
