AQA Palace
In short: The AQA Palace is a 4-star superior boutique hotel in Caorle with only 22 rooms in nine categories — its speciality: junior suites with a private in-room spa (sauna, Turkish bath, whirlpool in the room). The wellness area is adults-only from 16, plus an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, roof-loft suites with a whirlpool and roof garden, and the Restaurant Duilio with a fish tradition since 1959. The hotel is central in Caorle, about 500 m from the beach — a free beach shuttle, bicycle rental and a boat dock included. Ideal for quiet couples, wellness travellers and Caorle lovers — less for families with small children or classic beach holidaymakers who want to sleep right on the beach.

Location: central in Caorle
Caorle is an independent alternative to Jesolo — a historic episcopal town with colourful houses, a mini-Venice old town, the striking campanile and a long Adriatic beach line. The AQA Palace stands in the centre, in the quiet Strada Nuova, about 500 m from the beach. Anyone who wants to eat in the old town in the evening, stroll through the small calli or catch a concert on the Piazza Vescovado is in the right place here.
The beach is not right on the doorstep — but there is a free beach shuttle from the hotel to the beach sections at Spiaggia di Levante and Spiaggia di Ponente. In addition bicycles are available free of charge (Caorle is very flat), and the hotel’s own boat dock allows mini tours into the lagoon. → More about Caorle as a destination.
Rooms and suites — nine categories for 22 units
Despite the manageable size of the house, the AQA Palace offers an unusually differentiated room hierarchy. The main options:
- Comfort — standard room, compact, classic furnishing
- Superior — more spacious, large windows, balcony
- Romantic — chic, stylish design, ideal for couples
- Junior Suite Deluxe Relax — in-room whirlpool, 2nd/3rd floor, balcony on the pool side
- Junior Suite Deluxe Vista — a whirlpool on the balcony with a view of Caorle
- Junior Suite Spa — its own sauna, Turkish bath and whirlpool right in the room — one of the most unusual suite concepts in the region
- Loft Suite AQA — Venetian style, whirlpool on the balcony, sun loungers, direct pool access
- Loft Suite Jungle — top floor, 80 m² balcony with a whirlpool and roof garden, exotic design
- Family Room — two double beds, a large balcony
Recommendation: anyone already looking for a premium hotel with a spa experience of their own should look straight at the Junior Suite Spa — a private wellness island in the room is a rarity in the region.
Wellness area — an adults-only concept
The shared wellness area is accessible only to guests aged 16 and over. That is a clear positioning against family hotels with children’s bustle in the spa — anyone seeking relaxation finds a calm atmosphere here. Facilities:
- Finnish sauna
- Turkish bath (hammam style)
- Emotional shower (experience showers with aromatherapy)
- Heated indoor pool
- Relax area with “wave loungers” and a tea corner (herbal teas, flavoured water, fresh fruit, nuts)
- Treatment rooms for massages and beauty treatments (bookable extra)
Opening hours are adjusted seasonally: March to mid-June 9 am–10 pm, mid-June to mid-September 9 am–7 pm, then again 9 am–10 pm (check the current hours with the hotel). Ask the hotel when booking whether spa access is included in your rate.
Ristorante Duilio — a Caorle tradition since 1959
The Restaurant Duilio has been part of the Caorle gastronomy scene since 1959 and is today run as the AQA Palace’s own restaurant. The focus is clearly on fresh Adriatic fish — risotto di go, grilled sea bass, seafood antipasti, plus pasta classics with a modern twist. The atmosphere is elegant and intimate, with tables by the pool in good weather. The restaurant is open to outside guests in the evening (7–10 pm), on Sundays also at lunchtime (12–2:30 pm) — one of the few addresses in Caorle that is not just hotel-guest fare but also has a name in the town.
What is different from the other premium hotels
| Aspect | AQA Palace (Caorle) |
|---|---|
| Size | 22 rooms (boutique) — Almar has 184, Falkensteiner 152 |
| Beach | 500 m from the beach, beach shuttle — Almar/Falkensteiner directly on the beach |
| Wellness | Adults-only from 16, a compact area — Almar (2,000 m²) and Falkensteiner (1,500 m²) are family-friendly and larger |
| In-room spa | Junior Suite Spa with its own sauna + Turkish bath + whirlpool — unique in the region |
| Destination | Caorle old town + mini-Venice character — Almar/Falkensteiner are in Lido di Jesolo (a classic beach resort) |
| Family suitability | Rather couples/adults — the spa is not for children; families are better placed at the Falkensteiner |
Who the AQA Palace suits best
| Traveller type | Fit |
|---|---|
| Couples on a wellness break (no children in the spa) | ★★★★★ — adults-only spa from 16, an intimate house, lots of privacy |
| Honeymoons / romance | ★★★★★ — Junior Suite Spa with a private in-room spa, loft suites with a whirlpool and roof garden — hardly comparable in the region |
| Boutique-hotel lovers | ★★★★★ — 22 rooms, personal service, an individual design per category |
| Caorle old-town explorers | ★★★★★ — central in the Strada Nuova, within walking distance of the mini-Venice zone and the campanile |
| Premium wellness travellers | ★★★★☆ — a very special concept (in-room spa), but a small shared spa area; for a pure large spa rather the Almar Jesolo |
| Venice day-trip travellers | ★★★☆☆ — Venice is about 65–70 km, doable as a day trip by car or by Caorle boat lines |
| Classic beach holiday wanting the beach right outside | ★★★☆☆ — the beach is 500 m away, shuttle included, but not a “straight from the room to the lounger” concept |
| Families with small children | ★★☆☆☆ — the spa and the outdoor-pool “beach” area are adults-only (16+). A Family Room is available, but entertainment and a children’s concept are missing — rather the Falkensteiner Jesolo |
| Backpackers / budget travellers | ★☆☆☆☆ — clearly premium segment, not a fit |
| Party holidaymakers / nightlife tour | ★☆☆☆☆ — the hotel and Caorle are rather quiet addresses, no club scene |
Board basis — which option to choose?
- Breakfast only (BB) — good for Caorle explorers who want to try the old-town venues in the evening
- Half board (HB) — recommended for at least one or two evenings at the Duilio — the fish specialities are worth it
- Full board (FB) — rarely chosen, as Caorle has many good venues

Frequently asked questions about the AQA Palace Caorle
Is the AQA Palace right on the beach?
No. The hotel stands in Caorle’s old town (Strada Nuova 19), about 500 m from the beach. There is, however, a free beach shuttle several times a day to the beach sections — and bicycles free of charge. Anyone who wants to sleep directly on the beach should look at the Almar Jesolo, the Falkensteiner Jesolo or a beach hotel further east.
What is special about the “Junior Suite Spa”?
This junior suite has its own wellness area right in the room — a sauna, a Turkish bath and a whirlpool. You can retreat completely without having to go to the shared spa area. Ideal for honeymoons and anniversaries — few other hotels on the upper Adriatic offer a comparable concept. Availability is limited (one unit), so book early.
Is the spa area open to children?
No. The shared spa area is adults-only, from 16 years — the outdoor-pool area (“artificial beach”) also counts as an adults zone. Families with younger children are not ideally placed here — for premium family wellness we recommend the Falkensteiner Jesolo.
How far is the AQA Palace from Venice?
About 65–70 km by car, roughly an hour’s driving time to Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma. More atmospheric is a boat connection from Caorle to Venice, which operates in season (check the current operator and timetable) — a mini cruise of its own through the lagoon. → Day trip Caorle → Venice: all routes compared.
What is the Restaurant Duilio like?
The Duilio has been part of Caorle’s gastronomy since 1959 and is an address with tradition. The focus is on fresh Adriatic fish — risotto di go, grilled sea bass, seafood antipasti. The atmosphere is elegant and intimate. Also open to outside guests (evenings, and Sundays also at lunchtime — check the current hours); a reservation is recommended.
When is the AQA Palace especially worthwhile?
May to September is the main season — wellness, Caorle town life, beach, restaurant atmosphere by the pool. March–April and October–November for pure wellness stays and Caorle explorers, when you have the town almost to yourself. Winter is much quieter; ask the hotel about its seasonal opening.
Are pets allowed?
The AQA Palace usually accepts small dogs on advance notice for a fee. Conditions can vary by season — have them clarified in advance via our travel advice.
