Cavallino-Treporti Concerts 2026 — Festival Organistico and Litorale Jazz Festival

In a nutshell: Cavallino-Treporti has a clearly defined concert season in 2026, built on two pillars: the Festival Organistico (3rd international edition) with nine organ concerts in the peninsula’s historic churches, and the Litorale Jazz Festival on 20 July on Piazza Papa Giovanni Paolo II. Add live music at the sagre (folk festivals) and individual concert dates within the Estate letteraria series. Unlike Jesolo or Bibione there are no big pop acts — but the classical and jazz programming is considerably more sophisticated.

Festival Organistico — 3rd international edition

One of the most exciting concert formats on the upper Adriatic: the Festival Organistico presents nine organ concerts spread across the season, in the historic churches of Cavallino and Treporti. Artistic director: Prof. Roberto Bertuzzi. An internationally cast programme — organists from Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland perform works from Bach, Buxtehude and Frescobaldi through to contemporary composers.

  • First concert of 2026: Tuesday, 16 June 2026 at 9 pm in the Chiesa SS. Trinità in Treporti
  • Subsequent concerts: dates spread across July, August and September — the full programme is published by the festival committee in June
  • Venue churches: Chiesa SS. Trinità (Treporti), Chiesa Sacro Cuore di Gesù (Ca’Vio), further historic parish churches
  • Admission: free or suggested donation of €5–10 (varies by concert)
  • Acoustics: the historic churches have exceptional acoustics — organ music feels far more present here than in concert halls

Litorale Jazz Festival

On Monday, 20 July 2026 at 9 pm, Piazza Papa Giovanni Paolo II in Ca’ Savio hosts the Litorale Jazz Festival — an Italian and international jazz programme, usually with three or four acts in one open-air evening. Admission free, open-air with stage and seating. Programme details are published by the Comune in late June.

Live music at the sagre

Each of the three big sagre (Ca’Vio 13 June, Madonna del Carmine 18 July, Santa Filomena 8 August) has its own live-music programme. The focus: Italian folk music, popular classics, occasionally cover bands. The character: village-style and traditional, often with a dance floor and beer tent. Very authentic, far less tourist-oriented.

What makes Cavallino concerts different from Jesolo or Bibione

  • Classical focus: while Jesolo (Giorgia, Fiorella Mannoia) and Bibione (Antonello Venditti, Nomadi) advertise big pop-rock names, Cavallino-Treporti leans towards classical and jazz
  • Churches as concert halls: the historic parish churches lend the Festival Organistico a special dignity — a concrete open-air stage cannot replace that
  • Authentic sagra music: the live music at the sagre is not a tourist show but village tradition
  • If you want big pop stars: 50 minutes to Bibione (Venditti, Nomadi) or 30 minutes to Jesolo (Giorgia, Mannoia)

Tickets, crowds and practical tips

  • Admission: Festival Organistico free or by donation. Litorale Jazz free. Sagra live music always included
  • Reservations: not possible for organ concerts — church seating on arrival. For popular concerts, arrive 30 minutes early
  • Getting there: from a hotel in Cavallino or Treporti, most venues are 5–15 minutes on foot or by bus. From Punta Sabbioni, the town bus takes 12–20 minutes
  • Weather proviso: church concerts are weather-independent. The open-air Litorale Jazz is postponed in heavy rain — check the current status in the live weather block on the weather page
